In this episode, Priscilla and Azucena interview Isabel Nieves-Perez, a proud Boricua mujer who has spent her academic years preparing to be a licensed mental health counselor for and with the Latine/x community. Isa tells us about life growing up as a Puerto Rican girl in a predominantly Mexican-American community and how the concepts of race, borders, and who is or isn't a citizen informed her decisions to become a professional counselor.
